About Us

Trail Outdoor is an independently owned, outdoor shop that gives quality advice from a combined experience of 50 years from the owners, Mark & Nigel.  The owners are able to discuss the equipment they sell using first hand experience. They will take time to find out more about what exactly it is that you need for example, boot fittings and rucksack fittings.  It is not just about selling you a piece of equipment or clothing, it is about finding what your requirements are and suggesting options from which you can choose from.  The service is personal and professional at the same time.

The owners of Trail Outdoor are ex military personnel; Royal Marines and Royal Naval Commandos.  They have used specialist clothing and equipment all around the globe and in the most extreme of conditions and circumstances, ranging from the dessert to arctic conditions, and from the jungle to the more familiar surroundings of Dartmoor National Park.
